ABOUT HANNAH
I was that girl.
I built this for her.
Chiropractor, strength and performance coach, former DI athlete.
And the girl who had everything on paper but nothing left in the tank.
THE STORY
THE PART NOBODY SAW.
By senior year I had it all. Division I scholarship. State scoring title. Player of the year. All-American. Every accolade I had chased since I was a little girl.
I was also constantly in pain, completely burned out, and not even sure I wanted it anymore.
I had spent my whole career in the injury-rest-repeat cycle. Nobody was actually rehabbing me. Nobody was building my strength. I was underfueled, overtrained, and being praised for every second of it.
I got to college to play Division I lacrosse and I didn’t even make it a semester. I didn’t have the foundation physically or mentally. I transferred. Then I left the sport I had given everything to entirely.
When sport was done, I didn’t know how to take care of myself outside of it. I was left with a negative relationship with training and nutrition.
THE TURNING POINT
SO I ASKED MYSELF
ONE QUESTION.
“What if I built the place that didn’t exist for me?”
I went to grad school. Became a chiropractor and a strength coach. Then I coached varsity lacrosse and watched my athletes going through the exact same scenario I had.
Pain. Overtraining. Poor fueling. Nobody connecting the dots. It wasn’t just my story. It was every girl athletes story.
So I built The Girlie Project.
THE ATHLETE
Ice hockey + lacrosse from a young age.
All-in from the start. Elite teams, developmental camps, extra reps. Big dreams.
SENIOR YEAR
Division I scholarship. On paper, everything.
Behind the highlights: injured, burned out, and passionless.
THE COLLAPSE
Didn't last a semester at D1.
No foundation. Transferred. Left the sport entirely.
GRAD SCHOOL
Doctor of Chiropractic + Strength Coach
Coached varsity lacrosse. Saw my same story playing out again and again.
THE MISSION
The Girlie Project - Mound, MN
The place that didn’t exist for me. Built for her.
THE MISSION
WHAT I WISH I HAD WHEN I WAS FIFTEEN.
A place to truly fix injuries. To get genuinely strong. To learn how to fuel, sleep, recover, and manage sport and life without burning out.
To help athletes reach their big goals now. And build positive habits that will follow her long after sport is done.
She won’t care about that last part yet. That’s okay. I’ll care about it for her.
Mange injuries properly. Not just rest and passive treatment.
Build strength to improve performance and reduce injury risk in a way specific to girl athletes.
Teach how nutrition, hydration, sleep, and stress management can improve performance.
Keep joy in sport and prevent burnout before it starts.
Build a positive relationship with movement and self care through habits that stick long after sport is done.
